🎄K.E.Y.S of Houston Christmas
Midyear Magic: Giving Back with Heart

On July 18th, members of Houston Peer Success attended K.E.Y.S. of Houston’s Christmas in July event, dedicated to giving back to the youth of incarcerated families. The event featured not only toys, but also school supplies, food, and essential resources.
Multiple community partners from the recovery space were present to share information about their services, alongside the Houston Police Department’s Community Affairs Division, which distributed supplies to families. The day was filled with games, giveaways, and enriching activities for all ages.
It was heartening to witness so many organizations coming together to bring joy, relief, and support to local families. Events like this underscore the power of community in fostering healing and connection. Houston Peer Success is honored to continue showing up for others in meaningful ways.

Divine Women Visits Opportunity Home Alazon 💫
Creating Bridges Of Support, Hope, And Shared Purpose
Divine Women visited Opportunity Home Alazon to connect with and serve the incredible community of women living there. They shared their vision for the Divine Women Community, inviting the ladies to step into a growing, supportive space. The message was clear: it’s time to move beyond comfort zones and walk boldly into the future.
The event took place on May 16th and sparked meaningful connection. Since then, they’ve been invited back to continue building relationships both in June and for an upcoming event on August 8th. They originally met the Director of Alazon through their partnership with Big Mamma’s Safe House, which helped open the door for this growing relationship.
They are now exploring the possibility of hosting regular biweekly meetings and identifying a consistent space for these gatherings. The women present were excited to learn that such a welcoming and safe environment exists. Divine Women looks forward to continuing to build lasting relationships in this vibrant community.

Quote of the Month
“Be like a tree and let the dead leaves drop.”
- Rumi
This month’s quote is a quiet but powerful reminder about release. Just as trees naturally shed what no longer serves them, we too are invited to let go of regrets, expectations, or emotional burdens that weigh us down. It is a call to embrace change and allow healing. Letting go isn’t about giving up; it’s about creating space for growth, peace, and renewal. We often carry more than we need, out of habit or fear. But when we choose to release with intention, we make room for clarity, lightness, and the possibility of something new.
