With the magic of Halloween behind us, we reflect on a month of mystery and transformation as we welcome you to another issue of the formula.
The Spot
The Spot – A Community Space for Young Adults
Opening in early November, The Spot at 503 San Pedro will serve as a dedicated community space for Opportunity Youth* in San Antonio, offering resources, peer support, educational and vocational programs, and community-building opportunities.
The Spot is a collaborative effort between Form Communities and Chrysalis Ministries, with each nonprofit bringing its unique expertise to create a shared space where other community agencies are also welcome. Together, we are building a hub of support designed to empower youth and young adults as they work towards brighter futures.
Chrysalis Ministries, known for assisting individuals impacted by incarceration and supporting at-risk youth, provides case management and counseling services that help people rebuild their lives. Chrysalis has generously offered its space at 503 San Pedro for this partnership.
One highlight of The Spot will be the new THREADS workshops developed by Form Communities. These workshops are designed to help young adults identify steps to improve their wellness and personal growth.
*Opportunity Youth refers to 16-24-year-olds who are neither in school nor employed.

Quote of the Month
"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."
- Buddha
This month’s quote serves as a gentle reminder of self-compassion and the importance of valuing ourselves. In the midst of daily challenges and responsibilities, we often extend kindness and care to others, yet overlook our own needs for the same love and affection. Buddha's words encourage us to pause, acknowledge our worth, and treat ourselves with the same compassion we freely give to others. Embracing this mindset can lead to greater emotional balance and resilience, fostering a deeper sense of inner peace.
Reflection Question of the Month
